How to Remove Batteries

~ Posted on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 6:12 AM ~

Just sharing my personal tips on how to remove batteries as I was struggling with one few days back. After I did this, it makes my life sooo much easier! Just a tiny piece of ribbon and everything is fine and dandy!

What you need is just a piece of ribbon or flat string/cloth - of course ribbon is the best choice as it is flat and thin. I don't suggest using rubber band as after some time, the rubber band might dry up and stick to the batteries or the battery compartment.

  • Cut the ribbon long enough to have extra about half inch on both sides of the battery compartment.
  • Just before placing in the batteries, gently put the ribbon in place of the batteries.
  • You will see the extra bits of the ribbon jutting out on both sides after you put in the batteries.
  • To remove batteries, what I did was hold one side of the ribbon end while I gently yanked up the other end of the ribbon. Tadaaaaahhh!!!

Do you have any other tips to share?

Ashton...

~ Posted on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 8:09 AM ~

Few weeks back, I dreamt of Ashton Kutcher.

Before I continued on, please note that I am not that crazy of him at all. I know he's the dude in That '70s Show and Two and a Half Men and he's dating Mila Kunis (Ok, I'm quite the celebrity gossip fan) and he's divorcing Demi Moore.

OK, enough about the details.

Anyway, in that dream, I found myself in a cafe of some sort, quite dingy place and I could instantly recognize him from far. I was thinking to myself in my dream 'OK, this is obviously a dream. I'm in Malaysia, how the heck could this be real?' Anyway, in my dream, he was sitting next to 2 of his male friends chatting happily.

I thought of walking away but then in my dream, again I thought 'Hey, it's a dream. What else can go wrong? Just go to him and get a photograph or something!'

So I walked towards Ashton. When I was standing right in front of him, I panicked. Couldn't say anything. Even if it's just a dream.

He asked me what's up. I asked him whether I can take a photograph with him for my dream memories.

He asked why should he agree to that.

I said 'Because I'm a blogger.' (In my mind, I can't believed I said THIS!)

To my surprise, he said 'Okay, fair enough' and stood right next to me.

I don't trust his friends to take the picture plus I prefer to hold the camera myself so I extended my left hand right in front of us and clicked. I thanked him and walked away happily thinking 'I am sooooooooooo going to post this up on my FB page!'

Then I woke up from my dream.

Arghhhhhhhh.... so for the sake of reliving my dream, the picture sort of look like uhmmm... this?

I'm a full-time mummy

Blog Tips: Getting Products to Review

~ Posted on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 7:52 AM ~

I have received a number of emails and comments from my followers asking how I get to review products and apps so I decided to list down my tips and post it (maybe weekly?) to share my experience and tips. Feel free to drop me an email or comment if you want to find out more or anything else.

2 weeks back I shared my fifth tips in getting products to review, which is POST YOUR REVIEWS! Here goes my sixth tip:

JOIN SOME BLOGGING COMMUNITY!

Now what you need to do:

  • Browse around the Internet.
  • There are so many blogging groups and networks around, so look out for those and join them.
  • There are some network community which you can share and send out your pitches for opportunities to review products.
  • You can check out on my blog sidebar way at the bottom under 'Cool Apps' section, there are some logos I put up which I am affiliated with. You might want to check them out and joined them!

Even if you don't get to pitch products,

you might end up making new cyber friends.

All these blogging communities are about making connections and sharing and exchanging information and knowledge.

There you go, my 6th blog tips on getting products to review.

Try it yourself and let me know the outcome!

** P.S: Please note that it is always better if your blog has good following and good PR rank as these factors help a lot when you request for a product to review.
