I'm a full-time mummy

I have received a number of emails and comments from my followers asking how I get to review products and apps so I decided to list down my tips and post it (maybe weekly?) to share my experience and tips. Feel free to drop me an email or comment if you want to find out more or anything else.

Last week, I shared my first tip in getting products to review, which is JUST ASK! Here goes my second tip:

SNOOP AROUND!

Now what you need to do:

• Yes, snoop around! Browse around the Internet - look out for other bloggers websites, preferably those that does lots of reviews! 
• See what products they are reviewing.
  
• You can also check out their 'REVIEWS' tab or archive posts to get more information.
  
• Another way is to check out the sidebar of those big/popular blogs as these bloggers normally put up badges of being affiliated with or a member of some companies where they are reviewing the products from.
• You can then check out the company or sponsors of the products being reviewed by these bloggers and email to ask for an opportunity to review their products. This then leads to my previous tip #1 which is JUST ASK!

I know of some bloggers who are following my blog who did the above as I can see after my review post was published, they too get to review the same product, so yes, I know you snooped around my blog! Hahaha...

So there you go, my 2nd blog tips on getting products to review.

Here goes my first tip:

JUST ASK!

Now what you need to do:

• Browse around the Internet - look out for websites of the genre you are comfortable with - family friendly, fashion, IT etc etc

• Imagine you are cyber shopping for a product you wanted for yourself, children, family etc.
  

• If you see any products you would like to try, look out for a way to contact the company. Find their 'Contact Us' link and drop them an email

• If there's no way to email (quite rare), see whether the company have other social medias such as Facebook page or Twitter accounts and try to contact them from there.
  

• Make sure you have a professionally written pitch email when requesting for products to review!
  

It doesn't hurt to try,

the worse thing you can get is an email from them saying 'No'.

Just move on from there, you will surely get one awesome company who is eager to share their products with you!

This is my 4th post on sharing "My Two Cents Worth" throughout my blogging journey. In this post, I'm going to write about: Followers.

Why do we need followers?

* To make more bloggy friends, and through them, hopefully can find out more on other people / countries cultures and so on.

* Helps with your blog statistics when you are pitching for some product reviews (as some companies only go for blog with bigger following)

* Wider network / coverage to spread news about giveaways and/or product reviews.

* Blog audience... meaning, at least you know there are other people reading your blogs too!

How to get more followers?

* Regularly produce good written articles that can connect with your blog readers / visitors

* Join the many blog memes around the bloggy land (Check out my Tuesday meme post, these few memes helped me gained a lot of new followers!)

* Host a product giveaway

* Participate in a blog link swap (either through Facebook, Twitter and so on)

* Become guest post on another blog

* Leave comments (real not spam please) on other people's blogs and hopefully they will return the favor and in time form a bloggy friendship and become a follower

* Make sure your follower buttons are easily accesible and simple to subscribe

* Submit your blog URL to blog directories, Search Engines and so on

* Participate in other forums (some of my blog followers came from the Babycenter Forum which I regularly shared my experience and advice in the early days of becoming a SAHM)

So there you go... that's pretty much what I can squeeze out of my tired brain now on the topic of followers.

I've always treat my blog as if it is my child (ok, lower ranking than Ben of course!), and I think you should too! Nurture it, build it, have fun and make happy memories with it as how you would do with your child. It does bring joy to your heart!
