PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream

~ Posted on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:55 AM ~

As a busy mum with 4 kiddos between 1.5year-old to 9-years old, I have started cutting down on doing product reviews to focus on our childcare and family life, home cooking, education, helping with hubby's administration site of the business and sharing informational articles on my FB fan page so I am only accepting and prioritizing products that can fit into our family dynamics (especially books on parenting or educational stuff, family products, something along those genre)! Today's post is my review on PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream!

Extreme Colouring- Amazing WorldI remembered when our older 2 kiddos were around 3-4 years old, they've enjoyed watching PINKFONG educational and fun apps on my iPad. It's amazing how fast they learned the phonics and sang along to the catchy tunes even as they mumbled along to the times tables multiplication songs! The Baby Shark song phenomena caught on in our kiddos live late last year and yes, just as catchy as the rest of their songs in the apps, this song caught their attention as well. So it was without a doubt that they were more surprised when they found out there is PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream in the market now!

So I brought our kiddos along to give the ice cream a try and it was delicious!

PinkFong Baby Shark Ice Cream

The packaging is very easy to spot and the colours are reminiscent of the eye-catching app that our kiddos grew up with. Big 'PINKFONG Baby Shark' words can easily be seen on the ice cream packaging together with the shark and PINKFONG mascot.

PinkFong Baby Shark Ice Cream

The appearance of the ice cream at first impression was wow. Different from the other ice creams our kiddos have tried before. Pink strawberry ice cream with drizzles of chocolates all around the ice cream was very inviting and tempting. As you start licking the ice cream, the chocolate drizzles will melt and blend in with the strawberry cream and then you will realised there is a milky layer right in the center of the ice cream. What a surprise! Yum yums!

PinkFong Baby Shark Ice Cream

The verdict? Our kiddos enjoyed the ice cream very much! Creamy, not too sweet and just the right amount of strawberry with chocolate drizzles that satisfy their ice cream cravings once in a while. The ice cream portion is just nice for our kiddos as well.

The joy that started from our lips jiggled all the way to our hands and toes.. enough to get us dancing and singing to PINKFONG’s latest song.. The PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream song!

Today's post is my review on Beaudex Kids range of products.

Beaudex Kids

About the company/products:

"We believe in providing the best for our children. As parents, we were seeking for a brand that appeals to the children A brand that would instill the importance of personal hygiene in them. We wanted products that were mild, gentle and safe for our children. We realised we were not alone in this search, and this inspired the creation of Beaudex Kids.

I received the following products for my review. Eye catching colour on each bottle with cute superhero illustrations that appeals to young children, for sure! FYI, the products are specially crafted to be mild, gentle and safe for children and there are free from paraben, SLE/SLS and soap. They are also developed using a combination of Oat milk, soymilk and rice milk to bring out the glow in our children's complexion.

Beaudex Kids

A quick feedback on the packaging of the products - I like the long slim nozzle on the bottles. You just need to lightly press with the palm of your hands to squeeze out the amount of liquid you required.

Beaudex Kids

The first product that my kiddos were so excited to try is the Bubble Bath. From time to time, our girls love playing in their bath tub and of course, I let them try this out and see how it goes. It smells good and made loads of bubble foam, which our girls enjoy playing with.

I personally love the Yogurt Body Wash as it smells so so good! I know cos' I use it sometimes hahaha...

Beaudex Kids

The Hair Shampoo is great as well and cleans the hair thoroughly without leaving any greasy residue behind. A little dab of the shampoo is enough for the job and my kiddos' hair smells good after that!

For the final product which is the Head-to-Toe Wash, I like a product that covers head to toe and the idea of one simple product that handles everything top to bottom so this is also regularly being use when my kiddos take their bath.

In summary, a wonderful range of products that is suitable for children to use, one that us parents won't have to worry about chemical ingredients etc... I'm thankful that we have been given the privilege to try them out!

At present, the products can be found in Bath & Kids, Lot S212, Second Floor (on the link bridge), 1Utama Shopping Centre.

Angpow Story - Nasi Lemak

~ Posted on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:23 AM ~

I have been sharing some of my favorite angpow pieces on an angpow collectors group in Facebook and some members have been telling me to continue sharing my memorable stories and so I thought, why not write it down, that way, our kiddos can read about it when they grow up next time, eh?

For those of you who are not familiar or never heard of the words 'Angpow' (also known as 'ang pau', 'ang pao', 'angpau'), here is a quick definition:

Angpow = Red Packet (filled with cash inside) given during festivals

So for today's angpow story, it comes from this piece of lovely angpow:

Angpow Story

Take a good look at the yummylicious looking nasi lemak at the bottom right of the angpow. NASI LEMAK.

I remembered even at young age, I fell in love with nasi lemak. Just love love love nasi lemak. When I was young (before 12 yrs old), my late mum will tapau (it means take-away in Cantonese) nasi lemak for my breakfast and I will patiently pour out the rice onto a big plate, flattened the rice with either my palm or the back of the spoon and then slowly cut the boiled eggs into small cubes and decorated the boiled eggs, kacang (ground nuts) and ikan bilis on the rice. (Sorry I don't eat vegetables back then so cucumber got chucked away ooopss..). Once done, my plate of nasi lemak looks like a gorgeous cake... which I lovingly 'cut' into slices and devoured slowly, 'slice by slice'... such a memorable experience...

The best nasi lemak I have ever tasted in my life is the Indian lady stall right at the motorcycle parking in my old government flat last time. Have shifted out from there for 11 years, I don't know whether she is still alive or around or not. Her nasi lemak will always remain at number 1 in my nasi lemak top chart. Unbeatable.

Number 2 would be the pakcik selling the nasi lemak in between the alleys at Jalan Bukit Bintang before HSBC building. The last I recalled, there are some Arabs restaurants in that area and it changed so much I can't recall much.

Number 3 would be the nasi lemak from Village Park restaurant in Damansara Uptown. For those of you who think their nasi lemak is the best, nah.. it is number 3 in my list.

For those of you who want to read the story about the coffee cup in this pic, I mentioned about a childhood memory on it too. You can read it on my angpow - kopitiam post.

Anyway, thank you for reading my story today and I hope that my nasi lemak story will brings back happy memories to you too!
