Product Review - Little Innoscents

~ Posted on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 5:50 AM ~

As a busy mum with 4 kiddos between 10 months old to 8.5 years old, I have started cutting down on doing product reviews to focus on our childcare and family life, home cooking, teaching kiddos, helping with hubby's administration site of the business and sharing informational articles on my FB fan page so I am only accepting and prioritizing products that can fit into our family dynamics (especially books on parenting or educational stuff, family products, something along those genre)! Today's post is my review on Little Innoscents range of products.

Extreme Colouring- Amazing World

Little Innoscents

About the company/products:

"Little Innoscents was founded in 2007, after Director Antonette Golikidis fell pregnant with her first child Alex. Antonette searched endlessly for baby products that were chemical free and found herself disappointed to find such a limited number of products, which were often difficult to find, too expensive, or offered misleading greenwash marketing techniques to persuade you to buy something that wasn’t all what it said it to be.

Then Little Innoscents was born, naturally. Antonette began making the products in her kitchen at home and spent 10 months perfecting the ingredients. She formulated an intensive soothing cream, massage lotion, massage oil, body powder, hair and body wash, vapour rub balm and organic soap. The range can also help relieve a wide range of childhood health and skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis."

I received the following products for my review. I didn't get to try out the entire range of the products though so I'm sharing those that I've tried out so far in my family.

Little Innoscents

A quick feedback on the packaging of the products - the tubes all comes sealed and the labelling info are printed on the tubes itself, so the info on the tubes is water-proof which is longer lasting compared to other products we used where the label stickers came off after the water soaked through the outer part of the tubes.

Little Innoscents

I would like to highlight the following 6 items which my kiddos and I are using so far (clockwise from top left):

  • Intensive Soothing Cream - This is a nourishing organic topical application ideal for a range of stressful skin conditions. The moment I know the Intensive Soothing Cream is REALLY GOOD STUFF is when I have tried many other creams and lotions to sooth my sudden outbursts of hives (still unsure of the cause) and only this one gave me instant relief. I don't have the urge to scratch the itch. I am relieved to have this cream on hand, really. The moment the hives started appearing around my inner thighs and below knees area, I quickly applied the cream and I totally don't have any feeling of the itch at all. The brochure stated that this cream is perfect for nappy rash and the treatment of redness and itchiness caused by eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Totally recommend this!

  • Moisture Rich Lotion - With a gorgeous floral scent of Ylang Ylang and Lavender, this rich and moisturising lotion is ideal for dry or sensitive skin by maintaining and replenishing the skin’s much needed hydration levels and protects delicate newborn baby skin. I use this lotion on our 10-months old boy after he took his bath. I applied the lotion all over his body and his skin stays moist and baby soft! From time to time, I also applied some of this lotion onto my legs haha...

Little Innoscents

  • Paw Paw Balm - This balm is filled with nourishing beeswax, shea butter and calendula and most importantly Australian organic paw paw to heal and hydrate the skin. I love this balm and used it with extra care (precious you know!) when the soles of my feet start cracking due to dehydration and hot weather. It keeps my feet supple and heals the cracks fast.

  • Hair Fudge - The Little Innoscents Hair Fudge is very good product for me to keep my stringy hairs at bay. I love that it gave my hair a strong hold and yet doesn't have those gels frozen look at all. It is also easy to wash hair without any yucky residue left.

  • Hair & Body Wash - Cleanses deeply and refreshes from top to toe. I like that we can use it for hair and body as well. The minty smell is from the essential oils of spearmint, lavender and orange.

  • Cherry Coconut Conditioner - I used the conditioner after using the hair & body wash. The ingredients serve to soften and soothe the hair.

The cool thing about Little Innoscents products is they are formulated to suit baby’s sensitive skin but at the same time, adults can also use them, especially if they are suffering from dry, itchy or eczema skin. And it is also safe to be used on pregnant mothers! Practically the whole range of their products can be used on babies except Sun Lotion which is recommended after 6 months old and Milky White Toothpaste after 3 months old (which I have yet to try it on our 10-months old boy as he is still toothless at the moment)

I haven't got the chance to use the Sun Lotion and Winter Blues Balm, but will definitely bring them along for our coming Chiangmai holiday in November later.

In summary, a wonderful range of products that the whole family can use,

and I'm thankful that we have been given the privilege to try them out!

Product Review - Kids United Asia

~ Posted on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 12:08 AM ~

As a busy mum with 4 kiddos between 9.5 months old to 8.5 years old, I have started cutting down on doing product reviews to focus on our childcare and family life, home cooking, helping with hubby's administration site of the business and sharing informational articles on my FB fan page so I am only accepting and prioritizing products that can fit into our family dynamics (especially books on parenting or educational stuff, family products, something along those genre)! Today's post is my review on Kids United Asia range of childrens apparels.

Extreme Colouring- Amazing World

Kids United Asia

About the company/products:

"Kids United Asia is an authentic and licensed shopping platform, carrying apparels' brands such as Disney (Malaysia), Starwars Kids, Marvel Kawaii kids, Marvel Avenger kids, Marvel Amazing Spiderman Kids, Paul Frank Kids (Malaysia), Upin-Ipin, etc"

I'm a full-time mummy

We received 5 children apparels from Kids United Asia of which I am featuring 4 here for now (haven't got chance to try out the 5th one which has this cool UV feature!!!), the age range I selected via their website is from 2 years old (meant for our 9.5 months old boy) to our 8.5-year-old boy.

When I received the clothes, as a parent of course I do a quick check on the quality and material of the apparels. The clothes material is thick and good quality! I am also extremely pleased with the Paul Frank Kids range of clothes (which I got for our 3 younger kiddos below age 6) as there's no label at the back of the neck area. I find labels in that position really irritates the neck, not just kiddos, even myself, I will cut off the labels! You can easily see the labels being positioned on the right hand side of the sleeve, which is pretty unique and cool in my opinion.

To be honest, I also did a scratch test and a stretching test on our girls' clothes - which were the Paul Frank Kids range. I scratched the glitter and the printing on the front as well as pulling and stretching the clothes to see whether any of the glitters and printing flakes off. Nope! Impressed!

But that wasn't the only tests I did. I told the sponsor that I need time to do more test by washing the clothes first in our washing machine. After washing and drying, the clothes were as good as when I got them. Passed!!!

I did these tests as I've personally had the experience of seeing a very nice Captain America shirt I bought for our oldest kiddo (original and from another store of course) shrunk and the sticker printing in front got stuck together after a round of washing in the washing machine. I was so upset with this as I paid good money for the shirt to see it being ruined like that! Humphfhhfffmmmm!!! Since then I was extra wary and cautious of anything claimed to be original and good quality stuff unless I've done all these tests and did a few rounds of washings in the washing machine!

Kids United Asia

Below are some pictures taken of our kiddos examining and wearing their clothes.

Kids United Asia

Our girls' (age 4 and 6) Paul Frank Kids clothes are adorable as well. Nothing to princessy which is what I'm trying to minimise in their clothing nowadays and they totally love their new clothes! (they asked to wear it EVERYDAY!!!)

Kids United Asia

Picture below is our 9.5 months old boy wearing his Paul Frank Kids clothes (meant for 2-year-old size) touching his daddy's Paul Frank T-shirt hahaha.... To me, our boy's shirt is just slightly big, which is totally fine by me as I prefer our kiddos to grow along with their clothes, more years to use the clothes :)

Kids United Asia

To sum up this review, I totally love and enjoyed this awesome, eye-catching and quality apparels for our kiddos!

As for those of you reading this, go get them for your kiddos!

Get them as birthday presents, Christmas presents, whatever, just go get it!

Thank you Kids United Asia for giving us the opportunity to try out your apparels!

Product Review - Merry Nation

~ Posted on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 5:50 AM ~

As a busy mum with 4 kiddos between 9 months old to 8.5 years old, I have started cutting down on doing product reviews to focus on our childcare and family life, home cooking, helping with hubby's administration site of the business and sharing informational articles on my FB fan page so I am only accepting and prioritizing products that can fit into our family dynamics (especially books on parenting or educational stuff, family products, something along those genre)! Today's post is my review on Merry Nation range of vegetable powders.

Extreme Colouring- Amazing World

Merry Nation

About the company/products:

"At Merry Nation, we recognize the trend towards healthy eating and understand how the power of fresh vegetables can boost your body's health and natural immune system. We shout NO! to man made pesticides, preservatives and additives which allows us to work with PREMIUM, ORGANIC, HIGH QUALITY ingredients when creating our vegetable powders. We source locally and worldwide to bring you vegetables harvested and dehydrated during peak harvest months for maximum freshness and nutrients. This puts a smile on our face, knowing that we are giving our customers the best we can offer :)"

I'm a full-time mummy

I received the Merry Nation's Starter Kit which contains the following products for my review:

Merry Nation

  • Organic Turmeric Powder

  •  Organic Maitake Mushroom Powder

  •  Organic Fantastic Greens Powder

  •  Organic Carrot Powder

  •  Organic Kale Powder

  • Organic Bird's Eye Chilli Powder

  • Organic Ginger Powder

  • Organic Beetroot Powder

I didn't get to try out the entire range of the starter kit though so I'm sharing those that I've tried out so far in my cooking for my family.

A quick feedback on the packaging of the products -the bottles come tightly sealed with a plastic layer on the outside, once you tear off the seal you can start using the powders! The starter kit's bottles are small and nifty, good for me to bring along in case of travelling :)

Do you know that the vegetable powders are 100% raw? Also the vegetables are dehydrated at low heat so that more nutrients and enzymes are preserved as compared to mass produced, store bought powders dried using high heat.

Now let's continue with my feedback on the powders I get to use so far - I tried the Organic Carrot Powders and Organic Fantastic Greens Powder when I made oats for our 9 months old boy. A healthy way to introduce vegetables into his solids journey right?

Other than our littlest kiddo, I also use the vegetable powders when cooking scrambled eggs, stir-frying vegetables as well as morning egg toast for our kiddos.

Merry Nation

Now of course the adults (my hubby and I) also get to enjoy Merry Nations starter kit vegetable powders as well! I use the Organic Bird's Eye Chilli Powder for our spicy pork dishes as well as when I made spicy stingray. The dishes are particulary extra spicy this few rounds! Yums yums!

Merry Nation

Picture below is how I marinade the stingray with Merry Nation's Organic Turmeric Powder. I can actually taste the turmeric stronger taste this round you know! More ooomphfffhhmm!!

Merry Nation

Lastly pictures below taken of the dishes I cooked with the vegetable powders from Merry Nation.

Merry Nation

To sum up my review, this is a wonderful range of organic vegetable powders that my family and I have been given the privilege to try out! Thank you Merry Nation!
