Buying Things Via Postal Services

Do you know that we can buy things online via our postal website? Prior to this, other than to mail out our letters and parcels, I only know we can buy stamps, postcards and renew our driving licenses and that too, you need to go to the post office to do so. For online transactions, I always thought our postal website is just to allow us to track our parcels, find out the fees and FAQ on shipping and so on.

Just last year, I saw a friend of mine posting up some pictures on her Facebook page. It was a personalised stamps with her daughter's face on it and she got it via the postal services! That was totally a cute idea!

Just like the australia post catalogue, for Malaysians, if you check out our national postal website, you can also find that they do personalised stamps services too!

It is not difficult to do the personalised stamps as everything is automated and the website takes you through the steps with easy to understand instructions. All you need to do is just upload the picture you wanted to be printed on the stamps and made the payment before you get the stamps.

I was contemplating to get it for a close friend of mine who just gave birth to her third child then but due to time constraints meaning I did not have enough time to order it online as I need to get a nice picture of her baby so that I can upload it into the post website, I got her another present instead. But personally, I think it is a very thoughtful and creative idea as a gift to someone.

Wow! This is something new! I've never known that we can have our own personalised stamps! I wanted to print some postcards of our own, do you know any service like this?

Hi Jani,
I only remembered seeing the personalised stamps few months back, am not sure about the postcards part. Maybe you can check out Pos Malaysia website to see? Smile

I checked, no postacard, so I asked you. :p
Maybe I shall check out at the photo shops. They might have the service. I learnt about it from a friend in Japan. Its very popular there.

Hi Jani!
Oopss.. hahah... sorry can't help you oh... But then, why not just print the photo, stick a stamp and mail it out? I do that before Tong

The quality would not be the same. postcards are much thicker and the quality is good. Maybe it's a business to start off! hehehehe
